Cornerstone Geotechnical, Inc.
Cornerstone Geotechnical, Inc. was established in 2000 as a geologic and geotechnical engineering company in Woodinville, Washington. Prior to that, the founding partners--Rick Powell, PE and Chuck Couvrette, PE--had worked together for nine years at another local geotechnical firm co-founded by Chuck. Based upon a strong construction background, Cornerstone's services included: construction observation and testing; site exploration and project design; forensic investigations and expert testimony; and landslide evaluation and repair. In the company's 10-year history, the technical staff engaged in nearly every facet of geotechnical engineering, with experience in soil mechanics, geotechnical feasibility and design, geologic hazard evaluation, field inspection, and soil testing. Typical projects ranged from residential subdivisions and multi-story commercial developments to water and sewer utilities, litigation, and landslide projects throughout the Pacific Northwest. In 2009, Cornerstone joined forces with Robinson Noble in order to provide their clients with more comprehensive services and better serve the south Puget Sound area.
With geotechnical engineers, geologists, hydrogeologists, and environmental scientists on staff, our Geotechnical Services dovetail seamlessly with the environmental service needs of a project.
